Discussion:
Hi everyone
The site has been quiet again and I write to update you all following the core group meeting on the 12th July. Pauline Millar is to colour code the trigger questions to try and simplify and support the decision making process- a bit like ” all greens indicates you are a conservationist “in some more general questionnaires you find in magazines. We aim to put an example on the website for you to view/comment so please keep an eye out for this as we would welcome your input. Any issues you would wish raised at next weeks meeting please indicate here.
thanks again Norma
Hi
as the core group due to meet on Thursday 12th July just a gentle reminder that any comments /questions welcome
Look forward to heraing from you all
Firstly thanks to all who have joined the discussion forum and commented on the draft questions. We all have an important role to play in the shaping of this tool and the core developers have considered the suggestions and revamped the tool accordingly. The work to date is the first step in a series of actions to help the clinician perform continence assessments ,from the most basic to the more complex. This project is evolving into an admiral example of clinical collaboration building upon the feedback from users. The challenge of developing and producing information tools is well recognised but all your hard work and efforts will be rewarded when they are introduced into the template library. This on-line gateway to shared resources will help reduce the burden of data collection and help foster a sense of agreement and harmony.
The core development group meets again in July therefore if you wish to raise any issue for discussion then please place your comments.
Look forward to hearing your views.
I’ve added a new template, and I’d like your thoughts on this.
I’ve got quite a pile of submitted content now, mostly it’s forms used in community information systems. There is often some kind of continence-related data in these forms, but often it’s a very simple statement.
I’ve put in a template in the child health group which is an 8wk – 15month assessment (done by Health Visitors usually), and it has an elimination section- the ‘Bowel elimination summary’ here. If you look into it, you’ll see a ‘used in’ section which links to the assessment. If anyone makes a comment on this in the full assessment, it will be directed to this group as well.
What we’re trying to test with the project is whether we can identify these wee ‘building blocks’, get them developed by the experts, and then re-used/updated etc, in many different ways.
I’d be very interested in your views on how/if you see this working.

Jim commented about some of the questions having default values. These weren’t part of the templates, but were just part of the presentation.
I’ve removed this now, so there’s no confusion.
